Sentinel Youth Incentive Scheme Receives 500 pound Boost
13 April 2006 -
Sentinel Housing Associations youth incentive scheme got a £500 boost this week after a board member won a draw at the National Housing Federation Finance Conference.
Board member Patrick Symington entered the draw by simply putting in his Sentinel business card at a stand at the conference. Financial Services Group, Smith & Williamson held the draw with the prize being a £500 donation to their organisation.
The £500 will provide a week of half term activities as part of Sentinel's successful youth incentive scheme, 'Get With'. The scheme is aimed at young people to tackle youth nuisance and has resulted in reduced anti-social behaviour during school holiday periods.
Ben Giles, Communications Manager said, "The £500 will be used to provide activities including football, dancing and DJ-ing coaching as well as art activities. We are continuing to extend the scheme to all our neighbourhoods during 2006 and this extra money will help us towards that goal, so far over 500 youngsters have taken advantage of the scheme".
