How we develop new homes
At Sentinel Housing, we've got some very ambitious plans to deliver an extra 400 new, affordable homes every year until 2013.
Our development arm is split into four functions or teams: Growth Team, Delivery Team, Specialist Team and Homescope, our shared ownership arm.
Growth Team
Our Growth Team is responsible for finding appropriate redevelopment sites and negotiating contracts with developers as well as liaising with the Homes & Communities Agency and local councils to boost our financial firepower.
Delivery Team
Our Delivery Team is on hand to oversee the construction and completion of our projects and to work with other consultants to achieve the best possible product for customers without breaking the bank.
Getting people involved has been key to our success in the areas of site and property regeneration. Our multi-million pound regeneration development projects are inspiring more inclusive communities and have been recognised at national level.
Specialist Team
Our Specialist Team is responsible for the whole life of regeneration projects from securing planning to arranging the relocation of residents affected and liaising with the wider community.
Homescope
Also, our shared ownership arm, Homescope, is vital to the success of our Development Team.
Homescope is a small friendly team of professionals with a stunning track record of delivering a wide range of shared equity products both during the boom years and in the current downturn.
The Sappling Housing Partnership
Sentinel Housing is the lead member for the Sappling Housing Partnership and has overseen its success so that it's now one of the strongest regional consortia in the country.
Working with our partner landlords, we're responsible for the largest affordable housing programme in the South East.
