What young people want
We get a lot of requests to do more for young people in our neighbourhoods, and as the under16s are our largest customer group, this is something we work hard at.
We already host several initiatives targeted at young people, such as:

-
Get With - north Hampshire's biggest summer activity programme
-
Rubbish Raiders - helping young people take pride in their neighbourhood
-
Contributions - we fund open space improvements from new developments
-
Community Chest - small grants awarded to local clubs and groups
-
Youth workers - we part-fund two youth workers in Bishops Green
-
Eco-rangers - we work in schools to help raise awareness of local green issues
-
Sponsorship - we sponsor sport and community activities for young people
-
Teen Spirit - the Sentinel magazine for young people
Can we do more?
Yes. We're reviewing all activities aimed at younger customers, and in late 2009, we surveyed nearly 150 young people - largely 10 year olds - to help us improve how they feel about their communities.
