Police and Sentinel shut down Fleet crackhouse

Hampshire Police and Sentinel Housing Association teamed up to shut down a suspected crack den in Fleet on Wednesday June 25.

The property in New Barn Close was sealed for three months after Aldershot Magistrates granted a Crack House Closure Order under the Antisocial Behaviour Act 2003.

Hart and Rushmoor Neighbourhood Manager Chantal Mitchell said: "We work closely with the police on closure orders affecting our properties, so the law-abiding majority can live in peace."

Sergent Dave Hill, of the Fleet Safer Neighbourhoods Team, said: "Drug use and drug supply affects everyone's quality of life, especially those living within a close proximity to where the offence is taking place."

"We will continue to pursue and actively target those involved in drug-related anti-social behaviour to improve safety in the community."

"We would also urge anyone with information to contact the police immediately."
