New Horizons is the project name for a community consultation launched by us to explore options for the future of Freemantle, Taverner and Westray Close. We’re getting together with local residents and the wider community to explore options including a complete regeneration of the area to provide more family houses and to find out what you like and what you want from your homes and neighbourhood.

We want to work together with you to improve the area within Freemantle, Taverner and Westray Close for the benefit of residents, the wider surrounding community and for future generations. We are keen to ask you a number of questions about this area and do not have any pre-defined outcomes.

These webpages are designed to give you a bit more information about the community consultation, why we’re doing it and how you can get involved. You’re invited to take part in our community consultation about your neighbourhood so you can tell us what you like about the area, what you don’t like and what you would like to happen with your homes and open spaces. We would greatly appreciate your views and involvement.

We got together with the Residents’ Design Team in December and January, we also had some feedback from the Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council planning department. We've used the feedback to develop two Neighbourhood Plan options.
