Resident's Design Team

We’ve set up a resident’s design team to work with us through the detailed design process. We were delighted to say that 17 people expressed an interest in joining. Design team members will have the chance to influence:

  • Position of the children’s play area and consulting on future recreational needs
  • Final design of houses, maisonettes and flats
  • Parking and road access
  • Lighting and landscaping requirements
  • Storage issues

They can also help us with any:

  • Anti social behaviour issues and community initiatives
  • Informal feedback from the neighbourhood

There have been two meetings in December and January and there will be a further meeting before the draft planning application in the Spring.

Ideally, we’d like your involvement to continue throughout the life of the project and for a Residents’ Consultative Group to emerge representing your neighbourhood and meeting every six weeks with our regeneration team until 2015.

January 2012 community consultation

We invited you to meet us at the Hall for All for your chance to see the revised New Horizons Neighbourhood Plans.

We got together with the Residents’ Design Team in December and January, we also had some feedback from the Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council planning department. We've used the feedback to develop two Neighbourhood Plan options.

There is a choice of two drop-in events for you to come along to and everyone is welcome.
