Sentinel invests 400k improving homes for older people

14 December 2007 -

All resident’s of Sentinels’ Hedge Croft Sheltered Scheme in Yateley have benefited from a range of home improvements over the last three years. Sentinel has invested £87k to upgrade and replace all windows and communal doors, with a further investment of £350k for the installation of new kitchens and bathrooms.

The kitchen and bathroom refurbishment work was carried out by United House Ltd over a period of just two months. Residents were offered a choice of colour options for kitchen units, tiling and flooring and in the bathrooms they could also choose a replacement bath or have a shower installed.

Sentinel Care and Support Manager Tim Part said: ‘These refurbishments are part of a major investment programme we have to provide modern facilities and well equipped homes for older people. Everyone at Hedge Croft has been very patient during the refurbishments and we hope they all enjoy the Christmas lunch we have provided to say thank you.’
