How we develop new homes
We've got ambitious plans to deliver 400 new affordable homes a year
Our development arm is split into four functions or teams: Growth Team, Delivery Team, Regeneration Team and Homescope -our shared ownership arm.
Our Growth team is responsible for finding appropriate redevelopment sites and negotiating contracts with developers as well as liaising with the Homes & Communities Agency and local councils to boost our financial firepower.
Our Delivery Team is on hand to oversee the construction and completion of projects, and to work with other consultants to achieve the best possible home for customers without breaking the bank.
Getting people involved has been key to our success in the areas of site and property regeneration. Our multi-million pound regeneration development projects are inspiring more inclusive communities and have been recognised nationally.
Our Specialist team is responsible for the whole life of regeneration projects from securing planning to arranging the relocation of residents affected and liaising with the wider community.
Our new homes are funded through a combination of grants and private finance (loans and bond finance). Grants come mostly from central government via the Homes and Communities Agency (HCA), but also from Local Authorities and others. Sentinel has a Framework Delivery Agreement with the HCA for 2011 – 2015 through which we're delivering over 300 new homes. Follow the link below to see which companies we're using to help us deliver this programme.
Also, our shared ownership arm, Homescope, is here to tell you all you need to know about part-buy part-rent and other low cost routes to home ownership.
Homescope is a small friendly team of professionals with a great track record and very high customer satisfaction.
