Sirocco Park, Eastleigh

Sirocco Park is part of a new development with Bellway Homes of 312 new homes. 109 of these will be Sentinel properties available for rent or Shared Ownership between November 2013 and November 2017.

Renting

These new properties are based in the Eastleigh Borough Council area so if you are interested in renting one of these homes you should first register on the Eastleigh Borough Council housing list. If you are eligible and when you have registered you will then be able to bid on a Sirocco Park property using Eastleigh Homechoice when they become available.

Site details

Formerly a Pirelli cable factory, the site was made available to us by Bellway Homes. Planning permission on the 8.1 hectare site was granted to Bellway Homes in July 2012.

The new site will include central open space with a play area, a public art installation on the Eastern side of the site and an Eastleigh Borough Council owned retail/Business unit. All homes will be provided with car parking.

Sustainability will be a key consideration for these new homes with all houses and flats meeting Code for Sustainable Homes Level 3.

The architect will be Simon Cooper and the development will cost £12,225,000.

There will be 71 Affordable Rented homes including

  • 27 x 2 bed flats
  • 8 x 2 bed houses
  • 1 x 3 bed bungalow
  • 25 x 3 bed houses
  • 6 x 4 bed houses
  • 4 x 5 bed houses

There will also be 38 Shared Ownership homes:

  • 19 x 2 bed flats
  • 7 x 2 bed houses
  • 12 x 3 bed houses

In the area

Eastleigh is a railway town situated between the cities of Southampton and Winchester. The town centre has plenty of shops and leisure facilities including a new cinema, bowling alley and restaurant complex.

The Sirocco Park site is conveniently located close to Eastleigh town centre and other local facilities such as Fleming Park Leisure Centre.

The site benefits from great transport links including: easy access to Junction 13 of the M3; local bus routes and Eastleigh train station close by.
