Sentinel Housing Association Limited owns and manages over 7000 homes in North Hampshire. Originally formed through the transfer of the Council housing from Hart District Council and half of Basingstoke & Deane Borough Council. Since then Sentinel has become a major housing association for community regeneration and new homes in the area.
Sentinel have a multi-skilled Neighbourhood Team, providing advice and assistance on all housing issues from rent and anti-social behaviour to maintenance and environmental issues.
Sentinel is part of the Sappling Housing Partnership and has a multi-million pound and award winning development programme, building new homes and regenerating whole communities. Vestal Developments Limited is a subsidiary of Sentinel Housing Association Limited formed to carry out a range of market orientated developments.
Sentinel is not just about housing and offers care and support services both to tenants and to people living in private rented and owner-occupied accommodation such as Home Care, retirement accommodation and a 24-hour alarm service, CommuniCare.
Sentinel is governed by a Board of 13 members consisting of five tenants and eight independent Board members. The Chairman is Charles Kaye OBE. Sentinel employs around 200 staff who are mainly based at the two main offices in Fleet and Basingstoke.
