Sentinel garden army back on home turf
The initiative is one of six projects taking place as part of Sentinel’s new Community Impact Day, where more than 100 staff will leave their desks to make lasting improvements.
The narrow strip of land off North Street is owned by Sentinel, and residents suggested the idea of making better use during informal consultation. If all goes well, the village will have a new area of enjoyment, and up to three parking spaces for neighbours.
Project leader Richard Pilbeam said: “Making lasting changes in a single day may seem daunting, but it’s amazing what you can achieve with enough hands. Our contractors, partners and suppliers have been amazingly generous, so it’s not costing much to make a big difference to people’s quality of life.”
