If you've thought about setting up a residents group, then this guide will help you through the practical steps of setting up and running a group in your community. 

Liaising with other local groups and community organisations will give you loads more information and experience that we couldn't fit in the written guide. Also getting in touch with other groups will show that you are active in your local community and you may also get some new members. Think about getting together with mother and toddler groups, youth clubs, schools and any other groups that are active in your neighbourhood.
